Snow typically falls in the Great Smoky Mountains any time from October to April. The best places to see snow include the Alum Cave Trail. On this trail, you can see beautiful icicles hanging from the edge of the bluff. If you hike in the winter, be sure to dress warmly and wear insulated boots with good traction.
